It seems to be a pretty regular thing, isn't it? These sudden waves of newcomers.

[Not that Chizuru's done all that great of a job welcoming any of them. But considering the suddenness of appearances and, more importantly, disappearances of people she knows from back home, she's not really sure if she should be the one sticking her neck out in order to see if there's anyone she knows.

Especially since not all of them would necessarily be considered, y'know--allies. Or even cordial acquaintances. ~~Especially with Hijikata looming around half-cocked all the time.~~]

It never ceases to impress me how quickly even the most isolated of people can adjust to a completely foreign environment. After all, this place isn't the slightest thing like the Japan I remember, but we're all making do, aren't we?

[She folds her arms, tilting her head slightly, and shrugging her shoulders thoughtfully.] Though come to think of it, there has to be something around here that would remind me of home...is there anything here that reminds you of back home? Reversely, what was the hardest thing for you to get used to after showing up in this place?

Yeah, probably. From what I can tell, Equestria's a one of a kind place. I've been here for more than a year, and I haven't heard of any worlds that work the same way.

Yeah, I got hit by some pretty killer culture shock, but that's nothing I can't handle. This place practically oozes weirdness, anyway.

I have to say...[You're the weirdest thing she's seen yet, but at least you seem relatively harmless.]...not a single day passes that something doesn't surprise me.

They might as well rename this place Surpriseville, 'cause I'm pretty tame compared to some of the stuff here.

Really [She finds that hard to believe.] What're the strangest things you've seen?

Well, one of my roomies was a talking, red bird from a video game. Plus, there was this gigantic wolf god who guarded the forest, a giant robot that turned into a jet, and I was taking care of a talking lion cub for a while.

[That, and humans. They will always be strange to Dash, really.]
