It seems to be a pretty regular thing, isn't it? These sudden waves of newcomers.

[Not that Chizuru's done all that great of a job welcoming any of them. But considering the suddenness of appearances and, more importantly, disappearances of people she knows from back home, she's not really sure if she should be the one sticking her neck out in order to see if there's anyone she knows.

Especially since not all of them would necessarily be considered, y'know--allies. Or even cordial acquaintances. Especially with Hijikata looming around half-cocked all the time.]

It never ceases to impress me how quickly even the most isolated of people can adjust to a completely foreign environment. After all, this place isn't the slightest thing like the Japan I remember, but we're all making do, aren't we?

[She folds her arms, tilting her head slightly, and shrugging her shoulders thoughtfully.] Though come to think of it, there has to be something around here that would remind me of home...is there anything here that reminds you of back home? Reversely, what was the hardest thing for you to get used to after showing up in this place?

Well it's a lot more lush than what I remember back home...[Chizuru could probably go on about this for a while if you let her.] The big one I think is the artificial lighting that all the buildings use--what's it called...

The area definitely has a rural feel that I'm not entirely used to... it actually reminds me of Nacrene City in a way.

[there's a brief pause before he speaks up again.] Oh! The lack of wild Pokémon in the area was what had shocked me the most, now that I think about it! Even now I'm not entirely used to that fact.

Think of 'animals' from your own world, only they also bear special abilities that could be considered 'magic' to simpler folk along with basic survival skills.

Because I've pretty much had to get used to weather happening on its own, hue-mans existing, weird ponies and horses with tiny eyes, long snouts, and no cutie marks that are apparently people's pets, day and night not being controlled by Princess Celestia and Luna, seasons happening on their own, all the craaazy experiments, violence, and...

Yeah, I could keep at it for a while.

Yeah, probably. From what I can tell, Equestria's a one of a kind place. I've been here for more than a year, and I haven't heard of any worlds that work the same way.
